Welcome to ALPA,
Sunwing Pilots!

Pursuant to the decision of the Canada Industrial Relations Board, as of Nov. 30, 2024, ALPA becomes your new bargaining agent. You are now a member of the world’s largest airline pilot union; your addition brings us to more than 79,000 pilots at 42 Canadian and U.S. airlines.

Welcome Aboard

With 41 other pilot groups at ALPA, including 19 in Canada, you gain an instant network and world-class support. Sunwing pilots will operate as your own pilot group, or Master Executive Council (MEC), with your representatives making decisions on your behalf backed with the full breadth of resources and services ALPA has to offer. ALPA is committed to ensuring Sunwing pilots have everything they need in the months ahead. Welcome aboard.

As an ALPA member, you can access all ALPA resources, including the Worldwide Accident/Serious Incident Hotline. If you need assistance, contact our Membership Administration team at membership@alpa.org or by calling 1-888-FLY-ALPA (1-888-359-2572) and following the prompts.

Next Steps

Now that ALPA is your representative, we’ve established an ALPA structure at Sunwing. Your former Unifor local representatives who you recently elected have been named as your Sunwing pilot representatives for greatest ease in transitioning your pilot representation to ALPA. These pilot volunteers will provide continuity of representation as they obviously know the issues and are invested in an equitable solution for all. ALPA also provides a full slate of aviation- and labour-focused staff in Canada and the United States to support the Sunwing Master Executive Council (MEC).
